Key Information: Current Graduate Student Leadership Committee Executive Board members are ineligible.
The Society of Toxicology’s Outstanding Graduate Student Leadership Award recognizes a current Graduate Student Representative whose contributions to a Regional Chapter, Special Interest Group, or Specialty Section go beyond the routine responsibilities of the role. Sponsored by the Graduate Student Leadership Committee (GSLC), the award honors leadership and service to the Society rather than academic achievement or a proposed research project.
Routine duties include informing students about awards, events, and beneficial activities; participating in Component Group leadership meetings and GSLC and Subcommittee meetings; and contributing to newsletters. The award distinguishes contributions above these established responsibilities. The GSLC Executive Board reviews nominations and selects recipients, with preference given to nominees who have not previously received the award.
