Summary: Recognizes graduate student research demonstrating scientific excellence and significant findings in risk assessment.
Key Information: Applicants must be graduate students who are Society of Toxicology members.
The Society of Toxicology’s Risk Assessment Specialty Section (RASS) recognizes outstanding graduate student research through this endowment award. Supported by the Perry J. Gehring Risk Assessment Student Award Fund of the SOT Endowment, the award focuses on risk assessment research described in an abstract submitted to SOT.
Selection considers the abstract in the context of the broader research project, rather than the abstract alone. The award recognizes the scientific quality of both the abstract and the overall project, the significance of the research and reported findings, and demonstrated excellence in risk assessment. Applicants provide a project synopsis explaining the work’s relevance to risk assessment and support from their major advisor.
