    Description

The Society of Toxicology’s Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology Specialty Section (RDTSS) annually recognizes the most outstanding paper in reproductive and developmental toxicology published in Toxicological Sciences. This is recognition of completed, published research rather than support for a new research project. A review committee evaluates eligible publications from the previous calendar year and selects the paper that best exemplifies scientific excellence and advances the field.

The award emphasizes scientific originality and innovation, overall scientific quality and rigor, and significance and impact on reproductive and developmental toxicology. Papers addressing these topics are considered regardless of whether they appeared under the journal’s “Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology” section. Recognition extends to the first-place paper’s lead author or authors and all co-authors.
