    Description

The Society of Toxicology’s Regulatory and Safety Evaluation Specialty Section (RSESS) presents this award to recognize outstanding mid-career scientists. It honors scientific, regulatory, and professional achievement in regulatory toxicology and safety evaluation rather than supporting a specified research project. Contributions may be demonstrated through publications, presentations, guidance document development, and active involvement in the discipline.

The award also recognizes meaningful mentorship and leadership that have positively influenced colleagues, mentees, and the broader toxicology community. It is intended for scientists with professional experience in academia, industry, government, or consulting. Both self-nominations and peer nominations are considered, and the RSESS Leadership Committee reviews applications and selects the recipient.
