The Society of Toxicology’s Regulatory and Safety Evaluation Specialty Section (RSESS) offers this award to recognize postdoctoral fellows whose presentations are broadly applicable to regulatory toxicology or safety evaluation. It continues the section’s practice of supporting trainees presenting posters or platform presentations at the SOT Annual Meeting. Postdoctoral fellows in all sectors of research and employment are eligible.
Associated with the Future of Regulatory and Safety Evaluation Endowment Fund, the award combines recognition of scientific work with support for further learning and participation in scientific meetings. Review emphasizes the quality of the abstract and synopsis, relevance to the field, and strength of the supporting recommendation. Recipients may use the monetary award for meeting registration or travel, or for training that advances research skills or future professional development.
