Key Information: Open only to undergraduate and graduate student members.
The Society of Toxicology’s RSESS Three-Minute Thesis (TMT) Award gives student members a platform to showcase their current thesis research at an RSESS webinar. The program focuses on work relevant to regulatory toxicology, safety evaluation, risk assessment, or closely related research. Selected students explain their research in a timed three-minute presentation using a single-slide graphical abstract, followed by a brief question-and-answer session.
The award develops students’ ability to organize, distill, and communicate research to non-experts within a limited timeframe. Presentations should convey the scientific question, main findings and their merit, and the research’s overall impact on the field. A panel convened by the RSESS Executive Committee selects projects for the webinar and awards monetary prizes to the top three presentations.
