    Description

The WIT Mentoring Award is offered by the Society of Toxicology through its Women in Toxicology (WIT) Special Interest Group. It honors individuals who have significantly influenced women scientists considering or entering toxicology, or whose leadership and service have created career development opportunities and helped women toxicologists achieve their professional goals.

The award reflects WIT’s mission to guide young women considering toxicology careers and sustain the career growth of women already in the profession. Recognition emphasizes active, intentional, thoughtful, and impactful mentoring, including the mentor’s influence on professional development and mentees’ scientific contributions and continued involvement in toxicology. It recognizes mentoring contributions rather than funding a research project.
