Description
This award honors individuals who have made significant, recent contributions to the field of pedology—the study of soil formation, classification, and mapping. The award is designed to celebrate a single, impactful contribution (in the form of a peer-reviewed publication) that advances understanding or application within pedology. Supported by the Advancing Pedology Lectureship Fund and administered by the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA), the award highlights the importance of pedological research in tackling global environmental and agricultural challenges. Recipients are expected to present their work at the Advancing Pedology Colloquium during the ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting.
