Description
The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) offers the SolarAPP+ Implementation Grant Program to defray the costs of adopting SolarAPP+, the free-to-use automated residential solar permitting software developed by the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The program targets Maryland counties, cities, towns, and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), supporting the staff preparation and technical integration needed to put the software into use.
Supported work includes contractual assistance, staff training, software integration, and other implementation expenses. The focus is adoption of this specific permitting tool rather than funding solar installations.
