Description
This program offers financial assistance to Maryland counties, cities, towns, and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to implement the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) SolarAPP+ automated residential solar permitting software. The goal is to streamline and automate local solar permitting processes, reducing administrative bottlenecks and soft costs, and accelerating residential solar adoption in support of Maryland’s clean energy and climate objectives. Funding can be used for IT integration, staff training, contractual support, and other direct costs associated with deploying SolarAPP+.
