Description
The SolarAPP+ Implementation Grant Program, administered by the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA), supports Maryland counties, cities, towns, and other local permitting authorities in adopting the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory's SolarAPP+ automated residential solar permitting system. The program aims to modernize and simplify the residential solar permitting process, reduce administrative workload, and accelerate solar energy adoption statewide. Funding may be used for contractual services, staff training, software integration, and related implementation costs, aligning with Maryland’s broader energy efficiency and climate goals.
