    Description

The Sons of Norway Foundation’s Lodge Culture and Heritage Grant supports lodge programs and projects that promote and preserve the culture and heritage of Norway. Previously funded activities include cultural classes and presentations, documentation of local cultural history, and hosting visiting performing groups. The program advances the Foundation’s mission to celebrate Nordic culture and heritage through scholarships and grants to members and communities.

Grants are supported by the Heritage and Culture Fund, established in 1987. A Foundation-appointed review committee selects projects based on their contribution to Norwegian culture and their alignment with one or more Foundation core values. These values emphasize cultural preservation for the future, lifelong learning and service, compassion for members in need, connections to contemporary Norway, and a community of generosity.
