Summary: Supports local consortia to co-design regional roadmaps for aquatic ecosystem restoration and climate resilience across the Danube–Black Sea region.
Key Information: Consortia need 2–4 independent legal entities and a Danube–Black Sea-based leader established for at least two years.
SoS2LearnDBS runs this cascade-funding call with European Union support to develop community-led Transition Agendas for the Danube River basin and Black Sea region. These multi-year strategic roadmaps identify shared priorities, governance arrangements, stakeholder commitments, resources and investment pathways contributing to the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”.
Funding supports participatory planning and co-creation, not individual restoration projects or physical construction. Activities must target and take place in the Upper Danube, Middle Danube, Lower Danube, Danube Delta or Black Sea region. Proposals should explain how the consortium will develop, validate and finalise its roadmap during the funded period, rather than submit the finished agenda at application. The resulting roadmap must establish a clear pathway to follow-up public or private investment.
