Description
The Northeast Asia Council (NEAC) Distinguished Speakers Bureau, administered by the Association for Asian Studies, provides funding for U.S. colleges and universities (for Japanese studies) and U.S. or Canadian institutions (for Korean studies) to host a prominent scholar for a public lecture and campus engagement. The program especially encourages applications from institutions with limited or developing East Asian studies programs. Scholars may be hosted either virtually or in-person, and are expected to give a public lecture and meet with classes or students.
