Description
Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s South Berkshire County Fund supports new or existing projects, programs, and services that help South County residents build resilience and replenish personal and collective well-being. The program funds community-building, positive social interaction, creative expression, physical activity, self-care, and mutual support. Examples include counseling and respite services, educational programs, outdoor and park activities, parent groups and playgroups, summer education and camps, youth and adult peer-to-peer groups, and arts and cultural programming.
The fund seeks to balance depth of impact with community access, emphasizing projects supporting low-income, underserved, and historically marginalized communities. In 2026, the fund is beginning a multi-year transition toward fewer, higher-impact awards. Proposals are reviewed by a volunteer committee of South Berkshire residents, with selected recommendations reviewed by the foundation’s Board of Directors.
