Description
The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) administers this CDC-funded program through its STD, HIV, and Viral Hepatitis Section. It supports nonprofit community-based organizations serving people at high risk for HIV and people with HIV. Required core work includes in-house and outreach testing, linkage to medical care and partner services, referrals to prevention and essential support services, condom distribution, biomedical prevention education, and harm reduction education.
Optional activities include syphilis screening, support for public-health workforce training, mobile and home HIV testing, comprehensive PrEP/nPEP services, and integrated STD and viral hepatitis screening.
