Description
South Carolina Humanities’ Access Grants support practical ways to reduce barriers to public humanities programs and collections. Supported activities may include translation, captioning, ASL interpretation, and materials for people with visual impairments. The grants may also cover student transportation and childcare that helps families attend programs; these examples are not exhaustive.
The program aims to broaden access for diverse public audiences. It is administered by South Carolina Humanities, the state’s humanities council. Grant funds cannot be used for construction costs.
