Description
South Carolina Humanities offers Mini Grants to help organizations present public humanities programs of modest cost. Projects must bring humanities work to an audience in South Carolina, but applicant organizations may be based outside the state. The program is not limited to a particular humanities subject or activity format.
Projects must involve a humanities scholar who encourages dialogue, analysis, and critical thinking. The application calls for audience involvement and asks applicants to explain the humanities’ role, planned activities, community partnerships, expected outcomes, and how they will evaluate the work. Mini Grants have been suspended until further notice following a loss of federal funding in April 2025.
