Description
Southern Italy Scholars is a five-year grant programme run by the Foundation for Cancer Research in Italy (Fondazione AIRC per la Ricerca sul Cancro). It supports independent researchers who intend to establish their own laboratories and carry out research projects at institutions in southern and insular Italy. Alongside locally based research, the programme promotes networks of collaboration with research groups elsewhere in Italy or abroad.
The active-project directory includes university and research-institution hosts in Campania and Puglia, with projects based in Baronissi, Caserta, Naples, Pozzuoli and Bari. These projects illustrate the programme’s combination of laboratory development in southern Italy and connections to research groups beyond the region.
