Description
Philanthropic Ventures Foundation’s Special Education Resource Grants Program supports teachers and therapists working with students with moderate to severe disabilities. It funds practical resources that help students develop reading, writing, speech, and self-help skills and become more independent. Requests may support classroom supplies, therapists’ pull-out sessions, educational field trips, or professional development.
Supported resources include sensory integration materials, developmental toys, speech and language materials, oral motor kits, math manipulatives, and resource books. The program also supports assessment tools that help teachers understand students’ needs and develop education plans. Sensory tools prepare students to learn, while field trips introduce new experiences and concepts. The initiative aims to improve teaching and boost teacher morale by providing resources to meet children’s needs.
