The Daniel Foundation of Alabama’s Special Project Grants support substantial capital projects, new programming, strategic expansions, and larger one-time initiatives. This opportunity is designed for significant project-based work rather than routine organizational operations or the continuation of existing programs. Requests for operating expenses or ongoing programming are not considered through this cycle.
The foundation identifies organizations based and working in 17 Alabama counties as the best fit for this opportunity. The special projects cycle is highly competitive and designed for larger projects, with possible multi-year support. Special Project Grants have distinct eligibility requirements and sit-out periods, separate from the foundation’s Operating and Rural grant opportunities.
