Description
The SCELC Project Initiatives Fund (SPIF) supports member institution and committee proposals to plan, create, and implement projects that benefit SCELC libraries and librarians. Administered by the Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium, the program funds projects, programs, and new events that advance specific consortium strategic objectives and promote inter-library collaboration through sharing a new concept or idea.
Strategic priorities include responding to membership and electronic library sector needs, addressing trends and economic conditions affecting academic libraries, increasing SCELC’s visibility in the information marketplace, and developing sustainable business models for its administration and programming. An optional SPIF DEI Awards subcategory provides funding set aside for DEI-related initiatives within the SCELC community, with additional application and implementation requirements.
