Description
The SPJ Freelance Fellowship, established under the SPJ Foundation Freelance Fund, provides financial support to independent journalists to enable their participation in the Society of Professional Journalists’ (SPJ) annual national convention. The fellowship aims to foster professional development, broaden access to training and networking opportunities, and strengthen the community of freelance journalists within SPJ. Recipients benefit from full conference registration, a participation stipend, travel and lodging reimbursement (for those living outside the conference area), and mentorship from experienced SPJ members.
