Funding Amounts: Typical awards: $500–$750 (programmatic support), $250–$500 (marketing support); generally one-time, per event

Description
This program provides sponsorship funding for events—such as conferences, festivals, and forums—that increase awareness among participants about restoration and protection of the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland’s other watersheds. The program also supports activities that promote key revenue sources for the Chesapeake Bay Trust, like the “Treasure the Chesapeake” license plate, the Chesapeake and Endangered Species Tax Check-off, and the Maryland Outdoor Recreation and Clean Water Fund.
The program prioritizes projects that engage Maryland audiences, especially those from communities historically underrepresented in environmental initiatives. Both programmatic (educational/awareness) and marketing (outreach/promotion of Trust programs) tracks are available.
