Description
The Community Foundation of Sarasota County provides sponsorships for ticketed events that contribute to nonprofit organizations’ missions. Supported activities include fundraising lunches, breakfasts, and galas. The program seeks events that reflect the region’s diversity, uphold accessibility for all, raise awareness of community needs and opportunities, and demonstrate the area’s culture of philanthropy. Connecting people with causes is a central goal.
Sponsorship opportunities are reviewed with attention to fair geographic representation and alignment with donor interests and community needs. The foundation also considers alignment with its priorities in Community Care, Empowerment and Success, and Belonging and Culture. Sponsorships are among its smallest funding priority areas, and limited funding means not every request can be supported.
