Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ CF Research Innovation Awards are highly competitive grants designed to inspire and support the next generation of M.D.s and Ph.D.s pursuing careers in cystic fibrosis research. The program combines support for work that advances understanding of CF with the development of researchers committed to the field.
The program offers two complementary routes. Independent Research awards help newly independent faculty members establish their own research programs with outstanding promise in CF. Mentored Research awards support projects carried out with established CF researchers. An independent steering committee reviews applications and selects award recipients.
