Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) program supports independent, investigator-initiated research that advances scientific understanding of disease states, patient populations, and medical treatments aligned with Vertex’s clinical and scientific priorities. The program funds clinical, observational, and nonclinical studies, including those involving Vertex compounds, in key disease areas such as cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, beta thalassemia, IgA nephropathy, and pain. The ISS program is intended to foster scientific innovation and collaboration with external researchers to improve patient outcomes in serious diseases.
