Funder: Society for Pediatric Pathology
Due Dates (Anticipated): May 2027 (Application deadline)
Funding Amounts: One annual award of up to $10,000 for travel and living expenses
Summary: Supports international pathologists and pathology residents pursuing pediatric pathology training unavailable at their home institutions.
Key Information: Applicants must live and practice outside the United States and Canada and have an SPP member sponsor.
The Society for Pediatric Pathology (SPP) International Study Stipend supports visits to another institution to develop expertise in pediatric pathology. The program focuses on access to training unavailable at the applicant’s home institution, rather than research. It partially offsets the travel and living expenses associated with the training visit.
The stipend has two goals: helping international pathologists gain pediatric pathology expertise, and enabling pathology residents interested in the field to rotate at a children’s hospital when their home institution lacks pediatric pathology expertise. Training should help advance the applicant’s career in pediatric pathology. The SPP Research and Awards Committee reviews applications and oversees the award.
