Description
The Keweenaw Community Foundation’s Fall 2026 Grant Cycle supports programs, projects, and initiatives that strengthen community life in Houghton and Keweenaw counties. Funding comes from several Field of Interest Funds, including the Community Impact Fund, Environmental Fund, Copper Shores Community Health Foundation Community Wellness and Outdoor Recreation Fund, and Joe Freed Empowerment Fund.
The simplified application allows applicants to describe their projects rather than select a funding category themselves. Foundation staff match proposals to appropriate broad and targeted funding sources. Areas of impact include accessibility, arts and culture, community and belonging, community development, education, environment, food systems, health and wellness, history, human services and basic needs, recreation, senior citizens, and youth. Both new and existing projects can be proposed.
