The SRCD Senior Distinguished Contributions Awards are among the highest honors given by the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD). Established in 1977, these awards recognize SRCD members who have demonstrated exceptional and sustained achievement in developmental science and service to the field. The awards celebrate lifetime contributions across research, public policy, education, mentoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing understanding of child development, including work addressing diversity and global contexts. While most subcategories are reserved for SRCD members, some may be awarded to non-members for extraordinary contributions to the lives of children or to the society itself.
