Description
The Sleep Research Society (SRS) and American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) Foundation jointly offer this grant to reduce caregiving and disability-related barriers to attending professional conferences. The program recognizes responsibilities such as caring for young children, an ill or disabled spouse, an aging parent, or other dependents. It also supports members whose disabilities require additional assistance when traveling.
The published SLEEP 2026 program supports dependent care at home or in the meeting city, travel needed to arrange care, and increased travel or lodging costs related to a recipient’s disability. Its goals are to improve equity in access, maintain and engage the SRS and AASM pipeline, increase diversity, and maximize membership value.
