Description
The New Jersey Department of Health’s SSUS State STD Program supports disease investigation and intervention activities, also known as Partner Services. Applicants may request support for Disease Intervention Specialist staff to conduct field investigation and follow-up for syphilis and other emerging STD needs, including staff salaries, fringe benefits, and related expenses.
The program also supports statewide safety-net STD testing for uninsured men and women under 30 who have no other means of obtaining testing. It can fund expansion of existing local health STD clinics through added clinical staff, longer hours, and increased testing and treatment capacity. Projects may also integrate STD and HIV services.
