Description
The California Breast Cancer Research Program (CBCRP), part of the University of California, offers Standard and Community-Led Conference Awards to support conferences, symposia, retreats, or other meetings that advance breast cancer research, policy, or practice in California. These awards are designed to stimulate innovative thinking, foster new collaborations, and address CBCRP’s priority issues relevant to breast cancer. Both award types share the same funding cap and core requirements, but differ in their application process: the Community-Led Conference Award includes a letter of intent (LOI) step to provide applicants with formal feedback before full proposal submission. Eligible events must devote at least 50% of their content to breast cancer objectives and demonstrate potential to generate new research directions, collaborations, or actionable outcomes for the breast cancer community in California.
