Description
The Stanford Humanities Center Dissertation Prize Fellowships support outstanding dissertation research and completion by advanced Stanford doctoral students. Administered jointly by the Humanities Center and the School of Humanities and Sciences, the program recognizes accomplished work of the highest distinction and the promise of further scholarly achievement. Humanities and interpretive social science projects are eligible, including work by students outside the School of Humanities and Sciences.
Fellows receive offices at the Center and join graduate and faculty fellows in an interdisciplinary research community. Lunches, weekly seminars, and other Center programs connect dissertation work with broader humanistic research and education at Stanford. The fellowship particularly suits projects of interest to interdisciplinary scholars and applicants who would benefit from the professional and intellectual resources of a year in residence.
