Stanford Impact Labs' "Social Science, Supercharged: Fast Grants for AI-Enabled Research" program supports innovative projects by Stanford faculty, postdocs, and PhD students that harness advanced AI tools to accelerate, improve, or reimagine impact-driven social science research. The grant is intended to generate proof points for how frontier AI can transform research methods, data, workflows, and institutions, ultimately expanding the public value and societal impact of social science. The program welcomes proposals that use AI to unlock or analyze new types of data, improve research processes, develop new research architectures (including agentic systems), or strengthen the institutions and mechanisms through which social science is produced and used. Projects should focus on leveraging AI as a tool for social science, rather than studying the societal impacts of AI itself.
