The Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant is an annual $5,000 prize sponsored by the National Sculpture Society. It recognizes a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability through a mature body of work inspired by nature. The submitted collection must include both sculpture in the round and bas-relief, and works may be created in any medium.
The grant focuses on demonstrated artistic achievement rather than a proposed research study or a single new project. Its priorities are the quality of the sculpture, its inspiration in nature, and the maturity of the body of work. Sculpture created in workshop or instructional settings should not be submitted. A three-person jury, including at least two sculptors, assesses applicants.
