This regional award honors individuals or institutions who have significantly advanced diversity and inclusiveness in the chemical sciences within their ACS region. The award recognizes those who have created and fostered ongoing programs or activities that increase participation of historically marginalized groups, persons with disabilities, or women in the chemical enterprise. Recipients receive a $1,250 grant to further their diversity-promoting efforts, a medal, and travel reimbursement to attend the ACS regional meeting where the award is presented.
