Description
The Start-Up grant is designed to facilitate the return of researchers of any nationality to Italy, enabling them to establish their own independent research laboratories focused on cancer. The program is intended for individuals who have gained significant research experience abroad and are ready to lead innovative research projects in Italy. The grant provides comprehensive support, including funding for research activities, the salary of the principal investigator (PI), and salaries for two dedicated staff members. Projects are selected through an international peer review process, with criteria emphasizing scientific excellence, innovation, relevance to cancer, feasibility, and the applicant’s demonstrated leadership potential.
