Description
The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) administers National Highway Traffic Safety Administration funding for traffic safety work in Massachusetts. This competitive program supports state agencies’ data-driven, evidence-based activities and the development of new strategies to reduce roadway crashes, injuries, fatalities, and associated economic losses.
Projects must address at least one priority area: alcohol- or drug-impaired driving, child passenger safety, distracted driving, motorcyclist safety, nonmotorized and vulnerable road user safety, roadside safety, seat belt usage, speeding or aggressive driving, or drivers under age 21. Traffic records proposals belong under a separate grant program.
