Description
The State Aid for Police Protection: Communication Encryption Grant Program (SAPC) provides funding to Maryland law enforcement agencies to close gaps in secure communications by supporting the procurement, upgrade, and implementation of Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) compliant subscriber radios and related equipment. The initiative aims to modernize public safety communications infrastructure, enhance officer safety, and ensure interoperability with local, state, regional, and federal partners. Priority is given to agencies with unmet encryption needs, but agencies with full implementation may also apply.
