Description
The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) administers this matching grant program for cultural facilities across the state. It supports capital improvement, preservation, renovation, and new construction at spaces used primarily for arts programming, production, presentation, or exhibition. The program aims to sustain cultural activity, engage audiences, and strengthen communities and local economies.
RISCA encourages projects that remove barriers for people with disabilities, increase energy efficiency or sustainability, address code compliance, or support employment and the local economy. It also encourages applications from organizations representing historically marginalized communities.
