Description
The State Homeland Security Program Grant (SHSP), administered by the Idaho Office of Emergency Management (IOEM), is designed to help Idaho’s state, local, and tribal governments build and sustain capabilities to prepare for, prevent, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism and other catastrophic events. The program focuses on closing high-priority preparedness gaps identified through risk assessments such as Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (THIRAs) and the State Preparedness Report (SPR). Funding may be used for planning, organization, equipment, training, and exercises that address core capabilities with a nexus to terrorism, but can also enhance all-hazards preparedness.
