    Description

The Administration for Community Living (ACL) supports statewide implementation of the principles, recommendations, and actions in the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers. This cooperative agreement program implements the demonstration authority in Section 373(i) of the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended. Projects must use the Strategy as their framework and develop cross-agency partnerships to identify the goals, recommendations, and actions they will address statewide.

Two-year projects may devote up to their first six months to planning and coordination with partners, followed by implementation. At the end of the planning period, grantees must submit a sustainability plan explaining how activities and accomplishments will continue after federal funding ends. Applications will be sought from a previously identified group of state units on aging to improve administration of their current awards.
