Description
The State-Local Partners (SLP) program, administered by the California Arts Council, provides general operating support and technical assistance to county-designated local arts agencies across California. The goal is to foster local cultural development through a partnership model that includes funding, information exchange, cooperative activities, and leadership development. Local arts agencies—whether government units or nonprofit organizations—serve as the primary support organizations for arts and cultural activity throughout their counties, offering financial support, services, and programming to diverse constituents. The SLP program emphasizes equitable access, community engagement, and support for historically under-resourced communities.
