Description
The Utah Division of Water Quality offers State Nonpoint Source Grants through its Nonpoint Source Program. The grants support voluntary, incentive-based best management practices that address critical water quality needs throughout Utah. Projects can involve agricultural and rangeland improvements, stream and wetland restoration, low-impact stormwater practices, watershed planning, effectiveness monitoring, technical assistance, education, and pollution-control pilots.
The program gives priority to sustainable, nature-based approaches and projects aligned with an approved Total Maximum Daily Load or an existing Watershed-Based Plan. Coordinated, watershed-scale efforts are strongly encouraged. Projects may also support watershed groups, engage the public in water quality improvement, or provide hardship assistance to repair or replace malfunctioning onsite wastewater systems.
