The State Trade Expansion Program supports Wyoming small businesses through trade events, market matchmaking, export training, and market-entry activities to develop new international opportunities.

Due Dates: 45 days before trade event (Application) | September 29, 2027 (Trade event completion)
Funding Amounts: Reimbursement of 75% of approved eligible expenses, up to $5,000 per award; up to two awards per company

Description
The State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) is administered by the Wyoming Business Council and funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration. It aims to increase the number of small businesses that export, raise the value of their exports, and help more businesses explore significant new trade opportunities.
STEP supports international trade shows and missions, market matchmaking, foreign-market marketing and localization, and compliance testing for market entry. Businesses exploring export readiness may also participate in training activities. Grant recipients attending trade events must hold business-to-business meetings with potential clients.
