Description
The State Weatherization Program is administered by the Housing Trust Fund Corporation (HTFC) within New York State Homes and Community Renewal. Authorized through the state’s Sustainable Future Program Funding, it adds resources to the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) for affordable energy-efficiency upgrades and electrification, including heat pumps, in eligible homes.
HTFC seeks subrecipients able to identify qualifying single-family or multifamily properties and deliver weatherization work. Funding may support standalone SWP projects or be combined with specified WAP funds. Applicants should present a project pipeline and a plan to complete proposed production within the initial 18-month contract term. Awards may be amended to add reviewed properties if funds remain and the subrecipient agrees.
