Description
The FY2028 Transit Grant supports North Dakota’s public transportation program with federal aid administered by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT). Funding comes from Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Sections 5310, 5311, and 5339. Public transit operators and providers are encouraged to apply.
North Dakota’s statewide transit network connects residents to employment, education, medical appointments, cultural institutions, and social activities. Approximately 31 bus programs serve rural North Dakota, helping people reach local destinations and regional hubs. The broader network includes scheduled fixed routes, accessible door-to-door transportation, demand-response services, medical rides, and intercity connections. These services help residents access goods and services that may not be available in their hometowns.
