The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) is a private, international philanthropic organization supporting nonprofit organizations worldwide. Its four program areas are arts and culture, education, health and sports, and social welfare. SNF seeks projects with strong leadership and sound management that can achieve broad, lasting, positive impact for people and society. It also supports collaboration with the public sector to address complex issues.
A major current priority is SNF’s Global Health Initiative, a long-term, multifaceted effort to improve access to quality health care in many countries, with a budget exceeding $1 billion. During its implementation, SNF continues to assess applications across its program areas, but grantmaking is much more selective.
