Description
The Steel Intern Scholarships, administered by the Association for Iron and Steel Technology Foundation, are designed to attract top students to careers in the iron and steel industry. Recipients receive a paid summer internship at a North American steel-producing or steel-related company, followed by a one-year scholarship for the subsequent academic year. Up to 50 scholarships of US$7,500 are awarded annually, with one exceptional applicant receiving the Premier Intern Scholarship valued at US$12,000. The program targets students in engineering, technology, computer science, data science, environmental/sustainability science, and safety disciplines, aiming to foster long-term interest and workforce development in the steel sector.
