Description
The Stefan Bergman Fellowship, established by the American Mathematical Society (AMS) in 2023, is designed to honor the legacy of Stefan Bergman by supporting early-career mathematicians working in real analysis, complex analysis, or partial differential equations. The fellowship provides significant financial support to enable awardees to further their research, whether through release time, travel, participation in research programs, or other activities that facilitate their scholarly work. The fellowship is awarded annually and aims to recognize and encourage outstanding research in the mathematical areas central to Bergman's contributions.
