Description
The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) invites accredited Oklahoma higher education institutions to propose and host STEM Summer Academies for rising 8th–12th grade students. These academies are designed to immerse students in campus life while providing engaging, hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The program aims to foster interest in STEM careers, encourage college aspirations (especially among underserved students), and offer authentic exposure to postsecondary environments.
Academies should feature creative, multidisciplinary STEM content, hands-on activities, and opportunities for career exploration. Programs can be commuter or residential, must not exceed seven days, and should avoid duplicating standard school curricula. Partnerships with Oklahoma businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations are strongly encouraged.
