The Steuben County Community Foundation (SCCF) offers Health & Human Services Grants to nonprofit organizations serving Steuben County. Supported by donors interested in the Foundation’s fields of interest, the program funds projects addressing physical and mental health, adding healthcare services, or improving existing services. Human services projects may address hunger, homelessness, and other basic needs.
The program aims to improve quality of life through both prevention and responses to problems already affecting the community. SCCF gives special consideration to collaborative projects and approaches that examine and attempt to address root causes. Projects should fit the applicant’s mission and strategic plan and have demonstrated board support. The Foundation emphasizes effective responses to community needs and long-term solutions.
